It’s no surprise that the owners of a house in the Sydney suburb of Hobart are looking to sell the place.
The home, which is a few blocks from the Hobart city centre, has been listed for sale for $1.1 million, according to property broker and real estate expert Nick Waddell.
Mr Waddill said the house was not built in the early 20th century and is in a good condition.
He said the owner had a few options available to sell and he would not disclose which ones.
“We are not going to speculate about what the future holds,” Mr Waddel said.
But the property’s owner is looking for a buyer.
Owner of house on the block in Hobart who is looking to move it has ‘no plans’ to stay The Hobart property on Lamington Street is now for sale.
Its owner is still searching for a home and is not looking to stay, he said.
“We just got through a bit of a period of recession, so the house is definitely in need of a major refresh and some sort of refurbishment,” he said, adding that it would be good for the area to get a fresh start.
One of the owners, a former taxi driver, said he was hoping to buy the house for $500,000.
“I just can’t afford it,” he told the ABC.
Another property owner, who did not want to be named, said she wanted to keep the house but was “pretty far off the radar”.
“I’m not sure I want to live in a house that’s not actually here, I don’t like to be on the street,” she said.
