Michael Jordan is an American basketball player, an international icon, and a philanthropist, but the estate of the former Chicago Bulls star is now the biggest insurer in the United States.
Michael Jordan’s home is now worth $17 million when the insurance company, Pinnacle Insurance, issues the policy, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The insurance company also purchased a $1 million house in Atlanta that belonged to Michael Jordan in 1999, and sold the property to Pinnacle in 2008.
The $17.9 million house is currently worth $3.3 million.
Pinnacle issued the policy for the $17,400,000 home in April, and the policy was extended to March of this year.
The policy was issued because Michael Jordan, who died in June, had a policy that was in his name until he died.
