The average home price in the United States has increased more than 50% over the last five years.
The latest figures from the National Association of Realtors show the average house price in 2016 was $3.3 million.
The average price for a one-bedroom apartment was $2.9 million, and for a two-bedroom, $2 million.
The average home for a three-bedroom was $4.9-million, while a four-bedroom had a price tag of $8.5 million.
There were also some other notable increases in the price of homes across the country.
For instance, the median home price increased by $6,300 over the year to $3,500,958.
A home valued at $3 million was worth $11,800,000 last year.

The U.K. home market is now the hottest in the world with prices soaring by more than 5% year-on-year to an average of £11,921,400.
This means the average home value in the UK has increased by more then $3million since the beginning of the year.
